Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM) continue to be among those at highest risk for HIV. Globally, HIV incidence among MSM has peaked, including in regions

with the most broadly generalised HIV epidemics, such as Southern and Eastern Africa, where the annual number of new HIV infections among adults has declined by 34% since 2001.1
