HIV Principles and Stigma Reduction Training Curriculum: Addressing HIV and Stigma in the Healthcare Setting in the Middle East and North Africa Region

HIV is one of the greatest challenges of our lifetime. Since HIV was first discovered nearly 30 years ago, 60 million people worldwide have been infected with HIV and 25 million people have died from HIV-related diseases. These statistics reflect the difficulty healthcare workers face in managing the complexity of HIV disease, which can easily overwhelm a person’s immune system, especially without access to appropriate treatment and care.
