The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is a partnership organization aimed at accelerating the end of the three diseases as epidemics. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, the Global Fund works as a partnership between governments, civil society, the private sector, and people affected by the diseases. As a financing institution, the Global Fund raises and invests nearly US$4 billion per year and supports programs run by local experts in countries and communities affected by the diseases. Through cooperation with the Global Fund partnership, key stakeholders are able to provide prevention, treatment and care services to millions of people around the world and have worked to strengthen local health systems and revitalize communities.
