This regional study examines the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) needs of LGBTQI+ youth in Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia (EECA). Based on a quantitative online survey of 1,033 young people and 14 qualitative focus group discussions with activists and community leaders, the research highlights persistent barriers to inclusive and affirming healthcare.

Findings reveal significant gaps in access to comprehensive sexuality education, HIV prevention tools such as PrEP, and gender-affirming care. Transgender, non-binary, and rural youth report the highest levels of discrimination and exclusion, while many young people rely on informal networks and social media for health information due to the lack of safe and trusted services. The study provides evidence-based recommendations to support the development of more inclusive and youth-centered SRHR policies in the EECA region.
