ECOM focuses on the following areas
Conducting scientific research to obtain qualitative and quantitative data that communities can use to develop evidence-based recommendations and advocate for health services implementation and improvement of their quality
Integrating international best practices into national service systems through effective collaboration with government structures; this includes pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV, support for people practicing chemsex, programs to reduce stigma and discrimination
Training community activists, as well as representatives of professional groups, including doctors, mid-level and junior medical personnel, psychologists, social workers, on the specifics of working and providing services for MSM and trans people, creating and distributing courses on the ECOM training platform, as well as conducting training sessions
Standardizing services for MSM and trans people, based on best practices and leading international guidelines
We believe that health is one of the highest values, so health services must be of the highest quality, based on the collaboration between communities and medical structures and financed from state budgets. Only with the active participation of all stakeholders will it be possible to stop the HIV epidemic.
