Single Step Foundation was established in December 2016.

The organization’s mission is to support, motivate and empower LGBTI (“Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex”) youth, their families, friends and allies in Bulgaria through the process of recognizing, coming out and affirming their sexual orientation and gender identity. We fully realize that this process is challenging, long and unique to each individual but we are here to help young people make that essential first step.

As part of our efforts, we are running a very robust and targeted HIV Program as a logical and essential resource for prevention, testing, and psychological help for the members of the LGBTI community. Our efforts are directed at awareness and education on treatment and adherence, PrEP and healthy sexual practices as well as prevention of STIs in general.
