ECOM Looking for Intern for Communications Department

Background information
ECOM — The Eurasian Coalition on Health, Rights, Gender and Sexual Diversity (ECOM) is an international association based in Tallinn, Estonia, which unites non-profit organizations and activists working in the field of HIV prevention among gay men and other men who have sex with men and trans* people in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA).
One of ECOM’s goals is to assist in creating an enabling environment to provide HIV services for MSM and trans* people by reducing stigma and discrimination, promoting and protecting human rights, and removing legal barriers and obstacles. Therefore, communications work is a big part of the organization’s activities.
And now ECOM is looking for an intern for its communications department. 
We are looking for someone who shares ECOM’s mission and values. Someone who is interested in learning about the work of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from the inside, who is interested in the topic of LGBT, who wants to develop skills in communications and is ready to learn quickly. 
Intern’s tasks:
  1. Participate in communications meetings and planning meetings.
  2. Assist in creating content plans for the organization’s social media.
  3. Manage the organization’s Twitter account.
  4. Assist in writing posts and creating infographics for ECOM’s social media.
  5. Assist in writing news articles for the organization’s website.
  6. Brainstorm ideas with the communications team on implementing new information campaigns, events and presentations of ECOM information products. 
  7. Write internship reports.
  8. Perform other communications tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  1. You have to be interested in working with LGBT issues and topics related to HIV and LGBT health;
  2. Have minimal experience in managing social media and a desire to do this;
  3. Have minimal experience in writing texts (posts, news, etc.);
  4. B2 or C1 level of English.

  3. You’ll boost and improve your skills in communication, copywriting and SMM.
  4. You’ll gain new knowledge and practical experience. 
  5. You’ll be able to take part in SMM training that ECOM conducts for its employees and members.
  6. At the end of the internship, you’ll receive a recommendation letter from ECOM.  
Scope of work
The internship is paid and will last 4 months: from September 5, 2022, to December 31, 2022.
Employment: part-time.
The internship takes place remotely, online.
