The Eurasian Coalition on Male Health (ECOM) is launching the regional informational campaign “Get PrEP”, which aims to raise awareness about pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV (PrEP) among gay men and other MSM, particularly in those countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia where national informational resources are insufficient or do not exist.
As part of the campaign, a video clip was developed that focuses on the ease of taking PrEP. In addition, the website getprep.social was launched, where information is available in Russian and English about what PrEP is and how to take it, and where you can access other materials developed in order to provide potential PrEP users with factual, basic information about PrEP and why it is important for MSM. There is special material for consultants of NGOs and medical institutions, which explains how to better work with clients interested in and using PrEP. In addition, the website has a list of organizations in EECA countries that can provide PrEP and more information about pre-exposure prophylaxis.
ECOM invites activists, community organizations, and partners to support the campaign and to post informational materials about the campaign on their own online platforms.
We suggest that you post the video clip and banners on your websites, Facebook and Vkontakte pages, and to distribute them through electronic mailings and chats (e-mail, Telegram, etc.).
You can download the banners and get a link to the campaign video clip at https://getprep.center/tech.html, which can then be distributed among your users, visitors, and clients.
If you are interested in making PrEP accessible to MSM and trans people, join this informational campaign and other ECOM initiatives related to promoting PrEP in the region.
