Today, on 16 November 2015, the Regional Dialogue Consultation Meeting organized by the Eurasian Coalition on Male Health (ECOM) has started in Istanbul, Turkey.
The Consultation is a two-day meeting, full of reports, presentations, discussions, and workshops, that will bring together more than 70 representatives of international, regional, and national stakeholders, including organizations of gay men and other men who have sex with men (MSM), and transgender people (TG).
“I look forward to the fruitful discussions and we are happy to host a meeting with such a diverse list of participants, both in terms of geography and areas of expertise,” Executive Director Mr. Vitaly Djuma said.
The participants of the meeting will do their best in order to come to an overall agreement on the scope and key elements of the ECOM Regional Program to be included in a Concept Note to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria.
The meeting is organized in co-operation with the Eurasian Harm Reduction Network (EHRN), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS) and is supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
