We are proud to present our 2021 Annual Report!

Last year ECOM implemented a large number of important initiatives, studies and projects. All this was with the goal of joining the efforts of all interested parties in Eastern Europe and Central Asia to create a positive environment in which all representatives of the LGBT-community would have access to health care services, including those connected with HIV infection. Together with partners, ECOM also worked on advocacy for the rights of LGBT people and on many other activities to improve the quality of life of every member in LGBT-communities.

«2021 has once again confirmed the importance and necessity of our work. Over the past year, ECOM's strategic plan was successfully implemented, and the Fourth Regional Consultation on HIV among MSM and trans* people in Eastern Europe and Central Asia was held in a new, hybrid format. We regularly carry out unique studies, continue to monitor violations of rights and submit reports to UN committees. Last year, the Leadership School for Trans* Community Activists was also launched» — Vitaly Djuma, Executive Director

In addition, ECOM is proud to share the following achievements:

Three national consultations on PrEP were organized in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
Two unique studies were completed in the region: on internalized transphobia and on digital and remote HIV prevention services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A unique Leadership School on HIV for trans* people was developed. In the future, it will be held by partners in five countries in the region.
Throughout the year, 84 cases of rights violation were documented and 9 advocacy reports submitted.
The fourth regional consultation on HIV was conducted in a new hybrid format, with more than 100 participants from 11 countries.
