In accordance with the ECOM Charter, the General Meeting of the Coalition members has voted to confirm Vitaly Djuma as the Executive Director of ECOM for the new period.
Vitaly Djuma has been heading the ECOM Secretariat since 2017. He has significant experience in program management, strategic development, HIV and human rights advocacy. Vitaly received his Master's degree in International Health from the University of Copenhagen.
Since 2019, he has been a member of the Developed Country NGO Delegation to the Global Fund Board, and Alternate Board Member for the Delegation since 2021.

“ECOM has experienced ups and downs since its establishment, and I must note that with the arrival of Vitaly Djuma, the organization reached stability and a desire to improve and make the lives of communities better,” said Vitaliy Vinogradov, Chairman of the ECOM Steering Committee.

“I look with pride at ECOM's successes. We have become a leader in the movement for HIV response and human rights of LGBT people in EECA,” says Vitaly Dzhuma. “I am grateful to the ECOM members for trusting me to continue leading the Coalition. Our immediate priorities include the discussion and adoption of a new strategic plan for 2022-2026. Whatever the specific objectives of the new strategy, our main goal will remain unchanged - ECOM should work for the benefit of our gay, bisexual and trans communities,” concluded Vitaly Djuma.
